Hydraulic
Testing of Engineering Components
The following three examples demonstrate TQC's
expertise in the area of hydraulic testing of engineering components:
Burst Test
Destruction Testing aluminium gas bottles which
need to withstand pressures of up to 1000 bar. The test was
achieved safely by pressurising with water whilst the cylinder is
contained within a water jacket. The water is pumped into
the cylinder and the pressure then monitored for any change.
Compressor Testing
This is a typical self-contained production
line test unit. This model is for the flow and pressure testing
of refridgerant compressors. Such units feature automatic
pressure control, data logging and results printout, and are fitted
with quick connectors and sliding guards for ease of use.
Pressure & Permanent Set Test
This unit allows automatic pressure testing
of gas cylinders to BS and DOT standards. The system includes
automatic weighing, filling, testing to 500 bar with expansion measurement,
and full mechanical handling for up to 180 cylinders per hr. Results
are displayed on an inspectors VDU and logged onto a central computer,
the results are then analysed and printed.
